造園・土木の現場で長年にわたり実務経験を積み、環境再生型の工法に出会ったことで、自然の摂理に従った施工の可能性に確信を持つ。石場建の伝統工法を学び、現代の建築・造園に活かすアプローチを実践しています。
水脈・気脈の改善による土地の再生、伝統的な石積み技術を用いた景観づくり、石場建工法による自然と調和した建築の提案など、幅広い分野で経験を重ね、2025年には施工を担当した屋久島の石場建住宅が国際デザイン賞 IDA Design Awards 2025 を受賞。
その経験と知識を体系化し、次世代の環境再生の担い手を育成するためにこの講座を開設しました。技術だけでなく、それを事業として成立させるノウハウも含めてお伝えしていきます。

About the instructor
EKAM Representative Director — Yoshinobu Izumoji
Born and raised in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. After years of experience in conventional landscaping, he transitioned to regenerative landscape design, establishing EKAM on the UNESCO World Heritage island of Yakushima.
Specializing in ecological restoration through the integration of soil science, hydrology, and native planting, he has completed projects both domestically and internationally — including Bali, Indonesia.
His work on the 'Regenerative Vegan House,' an Ishiba-date (traditional stone foundation) residence, received the Gold Award at Asia Design Prize 2026.
Through this course, he shares the philosophy and technical expertise cultivated over decades of hands-on experience in the field.
